New Integration Initiatives

  • Digital Inclusion in Luxembourg: An initiative which strives to heighten the accessibility of information technology in order to take away obstacles in the integration process of skilled refugees.
  • Flexible labour markets - such as those in the US and Canada - are more effective at granting fast track access to employment than labour markets in Europe. Due to the availability of entry-level jobs with few skills requirements, and better opportunities toward ‘on the job’ learning. According to the report “How to help Refugees get into Work quickly”.
  • Chance for Science: a website that connects refugee academics with German counterparts in a broad range of disciplines, to encourage collaboration, and provide access to current information about their field of expertise. Currently 720 users have signed up, including 224 refugees.
  • City Gateways in London: A project which focuses on building confidence and skills for non-EU vulnerable women by providing trainings, trainings, and drop-in sessions.
